Volkswagen T25 / T3 Diamond RV County Camper Model History
Circa January 1983 Diamond R.V. introduced the Volkswagen T25 / T3 model called the Diamond (with poptop roof). Around June 1983 they renamed it the Diamond RV Autostrada and that was available with both hightop and poptop roofs. The poptop version of the Autostrada was then rebranded the Diamond RV County circa Oct 1984. So to clarify the Diamond RV County is the same as the poptop Diamond RV Autostrada. It is a four berth camper as it has a bed in the poptop roof. The layout was fairly typical of the day with furniture along side the offside behind the driver and a rock n roll seat/bed across the rear centre. Front seats swivel and for dining with a removable front table in between. Also removable rear table for rear seat.
Rear rock n roll seat / bed
Rock n roll seat bed reconfigures to to create a double bed 1220 mm x 1830 mm.
Kitchen unit with built in vitreous enamelled sink and drainer and the Optimus 8340 two burner cooker with grill and hot plate. Drainer has wooden cutting board cover.
Two way Electrolux RM122 two way (gas / 12 volt) refrigerator below stove. Fridge has a built in ice cube tray.
Rear Wardrobe And Storage Unit.
Rear tailgate area. Photo also shows an optional Paloma or Vaillant gas fired water heater. which has been installed where the rear storage unit would have been.
Zig CF-8 Charging & Distribution Unit above side unit. Photo also shows fluorescent light.
Other features include: 12 gallon fresh water tank All the windows are fully curtained. Fully insulated walls and roof. Tinted windows. Fully carpeted Various lights including two fluorescent lights and a reading light in rear. Removable small table between front seats and larger rear table in front of rear seat on island legs.

Side hinged elevating roof. Gas filled struts aid lifting. Lined GRP roof cap. Roof bed (1067 mm x 1830).
